Sisters, Sisters

When I was 4.5 years old my parents told me I was going to be a big sister. I did not want a little sister.  I had to be bribed with a cat.

When they brought her home she cried - a lot. I promptly asked them to please take her back.  Mom and Dad did not oblige.  

Looking back, I'm glad they did not.

Meredith and I did a lot of growing up together, we made mistakes together, we learned from each other, despite not always getting along, we always loved each other.

She's the type of person that always tries to make everyone else happy and better.  So it has been a joy watching her fall in love with Austin and see someone make her so very happy every day.

Austin and Meredith, I wish you nothing but all the happiness in the world for your marriage.  You are the best for each other and make our family better.  

Meredith, I am glad Mom and Dad didn't listen to me and decided to keep you :-)
